Boots with the fur
Yeah, I bought my baby a new pair of Uggs. I couldn't help it. I don't normally buy her anything too expensive since she will just grow out of it. But Papa Bear insisted that she have a pair of Uggs for the winter and they were just too cute to pass up. Papa Bear never insists on anything clothing or shoes wise, so why not.

Talking to baby
Baby Bear is talking up a storm. I let her borrow my Pooh Bear (yes MY Pooh Bear), but I don't think she will ever give him back now that he is her baby. On her head is half of her shape sorter that she often uses as a hat.

California Girl
Baby Bear is 16 months old. She weighs in at 19 lbs 7 oz. She still hasn't hit the 20 lbs mark yet. Just so small. But in the last month, she sprouted up and grew 1 1/2 inches! She is now 29 1/2 inches tall. Go girl.
The other day we tried on her Ugg boots to see if they still fit (just barely, time for a new pair for the winter). Such a California girl, rocking her Ugg boots and wearing a mini skirt!

Fun at the fair
Baby Bear went to her first LA County Fair. We had a lot of fun walking around. Her favorite part of the fair was checking out the animals. Papa Bear and I enjoy all the fried food. We even tried chocolate covered bacon. It was okay, but I don't plan on having it again.
Sorry for the poor quality photos, these were taken with my cell phone (and I don't have a cool iphone or droid) since we forgot our camera.
We learned what a yak was. Baby Bear has an ABC book and for the last year or so Papa Bear and I have been trying to figure out what animal started with the letter Y, since there was a picture of a strange animal we did not know with the letter Y. I would just skip Y. The LA County Fair helped us to finally solve that mystery. Now we know animal starts with the letter Y, a Yak. And I can go through the whole alphabet naming all the pictures, whew I thought Baby Bear would have to go through life without learning the letter Y, LOL.
