Thanksgiving 2014

We celebrated Thanksgiving Day with my side of the family at Lola and Nono's house. Lots of family and good food.

Jordyn's art work from school.

With Great Lola and her cousin.

November: 50's, Scientists, and Elsa

So on to November.

At school the celebrated the 50th day of school in early November and the kindergarteners all dressed in 50's outfits. So cute.

Jordyn was selected to be Scientist of the week and so we practiced at home before she presents her experiment. So cute they had lab coats and everything.
Her demonstration in class. I took some time off to be her assistant. She was a fabulous scientist.

Later that month we celebrated a friend's birthday at Downtown Disney at the Elsa boutique. All the girls got their hair, nails, and makeup done. Such a fun time. She hadn't seen her preschool friends in some time.  So cute to see these girls together again.

Later in the month we headed for a day at Balboa Beach and took a ride on the ferry. Horsy thought it was so cool to have the car on the boat.

That's November minus Thansgiving.

Halloween 2014

So I missed Halloween. I was so sad. I had a conference in San Diego and I was actually contemplating how I could drive back and forth so that I wouldn't miss Halloween. It wasn't feasible. So I missed her Halloween parade and activities. Luckily Grandma and Daddy were there and they even volunteered for the in class activities.

Daddy sent me this photo when they dropped off our little Elsa at school. There were many Elsas.

The had a little performance for the parents. She had sang some of the songs to me. Still bummed that I missed her first performance.

Her class.

Later that afternoon she met her friend for trick or treating in the Village.

So lucky to have a hubby who took care of all this with her. She had a great Halloween.

So there we have it October.

Catching up on October 2014

Slowly catching up on this blog. Working on finishing up our happenings in October of last year. Why bother? Because I want Jordyn to be able to look back on this some day and remember these fun times. Plus time flies by so quickly, I want to be able to remember it all as well. I enjoy going back and looking at all that we've done. Maybe it's more for me than her.

Well on to the rest of October...  So daddy moved him warehouse to a hangar. As he got it ready Miss Jordyn helped her daddy out.

Of course my girl had to pose by her work.

Daddy's apprentice.

Oktoberfest. Yup, we are those parents that bring a kid to a drinking festival. We weren't the only ones. Plus we bring Her everywhere.

Time with good friends.

Almost done with October. Will recap Halloween in the next entry. Holidays deserve their own posts.

New York 2014

So in early October I had to head out to New York for work. So Daddy and Jordyn tagged along with me. This would be Miss Jordyn's third trip to New York. She was going to miss 3 days of school and sadly one of those days was picture day. I was very sad that she would miss her first school picture but there was no way to get back on time.

At school her class has a class bear that goes home with one of the students every weekend. Jordyn was lucky enough to have Baxter Bear for the weekend we would be in New York. So Baxter Bear came to New York with us. He got to ride a plane, hang out at the hotel, and he went to Times Square. We even bought him a New York T-shirt to bring home from his trip.

On one of the rainy days, we spent most of the day shopping on 5th Ave. We spent a lot of time at FAO Schwartz. Such a great toy store.

After more shopping down 5th Ave. Jordyn spied the American Girl store.

After a busy day of walking around shops, we went to Nobu for a late lunch.

Then headed back to the hotel to rest before heading out to bring Baxter Bear to see Times Square.

The next day we headed out to Soho for a little more shopping. Jordyn found the Scholastic store and was in heaven. The best store for my book lover.

Our cousin flew out to New York too and we got to hang out with him for a bit and enjoy a nice dinner.

September 2014 recap

I've been so behind and haven't updated this blog since September. It's now March. Needless to say it has been a busy six months. So I am going to finally attempt to update Miss Jordyn's blog. She is a big kindergartener now and has grown so much. I am going to try an catch up a month or so at a time. Let me start with finishing up the month of September and jogging my memory through photos. It's a good thing for smart phones to capture those photos.

In mid-September we got to attend a friend's birthday party and Jordyn hot to meet Belle! She painted all the girls' faces and read a story. She even sang for the girls. Such a fun party.

The very next day Jordyn got up early and went to Santa Anita to visit Desert Willow.

She even had the chance to ride a real thoroughbred with one of Desert Willow's trainers.

Sometime this kid lives such a surreal life.

So now I am caught up with the rest of September. Just 6 more months to go. Lol.
