Walk for MS 2012

On Saturday morning, Baby Bear and daddy joined Team The J Crew to participate in the MS Walk. We walked last year. Actually, Baby Bear sat in the stroller while daddy and I walked. This year, I was out of town for a conference, but that didn't stop our family for walking for this important cause and supporting our dear friend, John.



While I was not able to be physically present at the walk with my friends and family. I did run a 5K at the hotel fitness center. So I was there in spirit with them.

I am told that Jordyn did an amazing job and actually walked about 2/3 of the 5K until she finally got tired and had daddy carried her the rest of the way. He was actually pretty impressed that she walked as far as she did; he had expected to carry her for much more of the walk.

A little tired after her long walk. Daddy told me she had a really great nap that afternoon.



When I got home that afternoon, Baby Bear told me about walking. Apparently, she was pretty proud of herself as well. I am proud of my family.

Catching up

I am a bit behind so I am trying to catch up. Here are a few photos that I took with my phone that I finally had a chance to upload.

In mid June, we moved Baby Bear to forward facing in her carseat. She really seems to enjoy the new view.



We often walk to breakfast at Molly's Souper near our house. They give Baby Bear a tea set to play with which she really enjoys each time we go there.



A couple of weekends ago, we went to the Catalina Ski Race. We go every year and this is the Baby Bear's 3rd one. Baby Bear love the pool at the hotel.

Daddy's beautiful girl

Papa Bear and Baby Bear are back to having their regular dates. Saturday Papa Bear and Baby Bear went on a date to Lake Elsinore to see some boats race. They love spending time together. Papa Bear captured a few beautiful pictures of my girl.

Baby Bear's 2nd Catalina Ski Races

Last year, we took Baby Bear to the Catalina Ski Races when she was an itty bitty thing, only about 6 weeks old and it was her first race. This year she is big girl walking and talking (well almost). Despite the fact that I was sick the entire weekend and spent the majority of the weekend in the hotel room, we still managed to have a fun time. Being with Papa Bear and Baby Bear is all I need.



Baby Bear is a busy walker this year, not the little baby that was all wrapped up in the moby wrap from last year. Wow, how fast time flies. Hard to believe a whole year has passed by.

Weekend fun at the races

We went to Bonelli Park for some racing fun and friends. It was another grassroot water ski races and Papa Bear loves his races. So we provided race support to some friends and enjoyed a beautiful Saturday at the park. Just a few pictures of the beautiful Baby Bear.

Baby Bear's first walk!

On Saturday, we walked for Autism and raise $290. We had a great time (even if Baby Bear slept through half of the walk).

Baby Bear was all geared up for her first walk.





She even got to talk a picture with some Star Wars storm troopers.

Walk Now for Autism

Last year I participated in the Walk for Autism and I have signed up to do it once again. This will be Baby Bear's first charity walk (well, she participated last year in the womb). It is never too early to start to give and do something for a good cause.

Another day at the races

Last weekend, Baby Bear went to her second water ski races. It was close to home, which was really nice and allowed Baby Bear and I to leave a little earlier so that Papa Bear could continue to stay through to the award ceremony. We had several people in our group race and win!! Two 1st places and a 2nd place!! Wohoo!!

It was pretty hot, but we would go in the truck to nurse and blast the air conditioning to cool Baby Bear down from time to time. It was a fun day filled with cheering for friends, hanging out with friends, and barbecuing. Lots of fun was had.

Her first race

Papa Bear loves boat races and last weekend was the Catalina Ski race. We go every year and this year was no exception. So Baby Bear went to her first race!! It was our first weekend staying away from home. Even though the race took place in Long Beach, just an hour from home, we decided it would be easiest to stay at the hotel the night before so that Baby Bear could be comfortable. Baby Bear stayed at her first hotel and did so well. She made many friends and liked the sound of the boats.
