New pup and polka dots

A random post of the week.

Grandma got a new pup. Lil J really loves the new pup. He's a labradoodle and really sweet boy. A great addition to the family.

Meet Grady...

Lil J has been really great at getting herself ready in the morning. I enjoyed her fashion sense. In the photo above it was a stripe day. The other day was a polka dot day.

Later in the week Lil J spent the afternoon with daddy. They visited me at work and did a little exploring around campus. They found some treats and a lot of students on their own adventures.

Lil J enjoys playing with daddy's cars. She gives them princess names. I love the sounds of pretend play.

Valentines Day 2014

Lil J was very excited for Valentines Day. She had her shirt picked out the week before. We put together Valentines for her friends at school and daycare.

We also put together ones for the teachers. I was inspired by Pinterest.

It is just so much fun for kids to get Valentines. Lil J was extra lucky to have a bag full from school and another bag from daycare.

Mama got something special from daddy too. Daddy's been really sick with bronchitis. Poor guy. But he has his two Valentines and he took care of us.

Just like a rock star!

Today Lil J went to her first concert. We went to see the Fresh Beat Band. She loves to watch them on Nick Jr and sings along to their music. To prepare for the concert I got her the rockstar jacket.

As soon as she got it she wanted to wear it and wore it to school.

So the concert day was finally here. Sadly, daddy was really sick and we had an extra ticket. Luckily, Lil J's bestie, Anna, was able to take daddy's place. They were both so excited to go to their first concert together. We listened to the CD on the way out to Nokia LA Live in LA.

They couldn't wait for the concert to start. When the music started they were dancing and singing along. It was so cute to watch them. We even made friends with the little girl sitting near us.

Besties forever!!

So much fun. I even knew the words to the songs and sang along. Haha. I am definitely a mom of a preschooler.

I am so glad Lil J's bestie was able to come with us and that her parents trusted me to take her. It was a fun time for the girls and I survived a concert with two 4 years old girls. I am sure this won't be last time I bring Lil J and a friend to a concert. Just a sign of good times to come.
