Driving with Miss Baby Bear

Yes, Baby Bear does like her cozy coupe. I had to share a few more pictures:

Three generations: Grandpa Bear, Papa Bear, and Baby Bear. Just so it is clear, Baby Bear is the one in the car. I love this picture.

Yes, she really loves to drive.

New driver on the road

Watch out world, Baby Bear is learning to drive. She got a cozy coupe for her birthday and this weekend Papa Bear got it out of storage and put it together. She loved it!!! She threw a tantrum when it was time to get out.

At first, she was a little apprehensive:

Then she started to honk the horn:

Now she is a pro, looking before she changes lanes:

Thanks Auntie Mary and Auntie Joni, Baby Bear loves her cozy coupe!

Little Miss Manners

Baby Bear had some manners! We have been teaching her to say "thank you" and "please." We know it would probably take some time so might as well start early. Yesterday, she started saying "thank you." She may not know exactly when to say it, but that is a start.

Baby Bear is a big talker. She has so many words and many signs. It is great that she is better able to communicate. Sometimes she says "no" when don't want her too, but at least she is communicating. She often understands when I ask her simple questions, it really helps to find out what she wants. So far her running list of words:
  • mama (although I have been called dada)
  • dada (and Papa Bear has been called mama)
  • papa (for Grandpa Bear)
  • no
  • nana (for banana, although she says it other times and I am not sure what she means yet)
  • milk
  • eat
  • more
  • stop
  • thank you
  • what's that
  • bye
  • hi
  • baby
  • chasss (for Chase Monster Cat)
  • jack (for Jack the dog - Grandma Bear's dog)
In addition, she knows quite a few signs:
  • more
  • milk
  • eat
  • sleep
  • baby (she actually does a modified version that she made up on her own. For weeks, we were wondering what she was doing with her hands, until finally she verbally put the word with it)
  • all done
  • bath

Music lover

Baby Bear loves music. She loves to dance. It is so adorable and great. Recently, Baby Bear was out and about with Papa Bear. They were in the truck and he was stopped at a stoplight. The truck was rocking and he wondered what was wrong. He looked back at Baby Bear in the car seat and she was rocking out to the music, making our big Chevy Suburban rock.

Baby Bear loves her music and she had good taste. She does not discriminate, she likes all types of music. It doesn't even have to be in English. That day she was rocking out to Mana. I love their music too.
