As we made our way to what should have been an easy walk to the toy store that was not far from our hotel, we found an obstacle along the way. A parade.
Apparently, 5th Ave. was closed for a Hispanic Day Parade. So we had to weave in and out to get where we needed to go, but we got to see a parade in the process. That was pretty cool.
Daddy found a big hole to stick Baby Bear in.
Which made for a cool family picture.
I later learned the 9 was the building where my board meeting would take place. A board room with a gorgeous view of Central Park.
We finally made it to FAO Schwarz.
Baby Bear was not disappointed.
We had to stop by the big piano from the movie "Big."
Had to check out some legos.
Baby Bear saw a photo of Lady Liberty in our hotel and kept telling us that we saw her, well I guess we did. Maybe on our next visit we will see the real deal.
Made a stop at FAO Schweetz for some schweetz.
I told Baby Bear we could buy one toy at the toy store and that we could add things to her Christmas list. I was prepared to buy something for her. She ran around the store and wanted add EVERYTHING to her Christmas list. She has quite a list, although neither of us really remembers what is on her list and I am not sure she realizes that she will not get everything on her list. But then again we have no idea what is really on her list.
When it came down to picking a toy, she picked out a little wind up toy. So we got out of FAO Scwartz in under $10, wind up toy and candy. I can't complain.
Because it looked cool, we made a stop at the Apple store just in front of FAO Scwartz
Since we were in the area, Daddy promised Baby Bear a Cinderella carriage ride and so we went a little ride through Central Park.
After resting a bit after our eventful afternoon, we headed back out to Rockerfeller Center.
Last time we were in NYC, we took this same photo. Last time Baby Bear was in the carrier and this time she is on daddy's shoulders. My how time has flown.
