Usually we spend Christmas Eve with my family and stay up until midnight to open presents. Since Baby Bear was getting over pneumonia, we thought it was best to not take her out in the cold and keep her home. Lola Bear, Lola Bear, and Uncle Bear came over to see our new house and have dinner with us before heading out to see the rest of the family.
This is Baby Bear's second Christmas, but she was only 6 months old last year and didn't really understand it much. So it was fun to see how she would react this year.
She wasn't quite sure what to do with the present.
Uncle Mike opened up the present for her and she just kind of looked at it at first. It was a baby doll in a box. She didn't quite grasp the concept yet.
The Uncle Mike got the baby doll out of the box. Baby Bear liked the baby doll Lola and Lolo Bear gave her.
She had a nice time with her grandparents and especially enjoyed her Uncle Mike. We wish he lived close by so that he can come and play with her more often. Uncle Mike is tons of fun!
It was a little hard for me to be away from my family and our traditions during Christmas Eve but we had a nice quiet time as a family together. It sure was nice to spend it in our own home!
