Today, we took Baby Bear on her first outing. It was an outing that wasn't to the breastfeeding clinic or pediatricians. It was her first outing that involved a car ride for longer than 5 minutes (we are fortunate that the hospital, breastfeeding clinic, and pediatrician are all within walking distance).
The Bear family went out for lunch to one of our favorite local Mexican restaurants. Baby Bear did really well and was awake and alert during our entire lunch. She was just taking in all the sounds. She did not fuss or cry at all. It is nice to know that we can still eat out with Baby Bear, we just have to prepare a little ahead of time. I made sure to breastfeed her before we left the house and so she was fed and happy. It was a successful outing.
