Baby Bear is an embryo and growing very quickly and is now about the size of a sesame seed. Baby Bear is looking kind of like a tiny tadpole. Baby Bear's heart will start to beating and pumping blood this week. The neural tube is developing and from this Baby Bear's brain, spinal cord, nerves, and backbone will develop. The placenta and umbilical cord are starting to provide nourishment and oxygen to Baby Bear. Wow, a lot has happened! Develop, Baby Bear, Develop!

Week 5: The heart is beating
